Call to host 6IATC
Applications are invited to host the 6th International Adventure Therapy Conference 2012
The Adventure Therapy International Committee (ATIC) invites written proposals from interested parties wishing to host the 6th International Adventure Therapy Conference (6IATC) in 2012. This process will be overseen by ATIC and this committee will make the final decision as to who will host 6IATC.
The deadline for proposals is 1 July 2009. The successful host will be announced at 5IATC in September 2009.
To submit a proposal please follow the guidelines below , ensuring you provide information for all the points. Proposals are to be 3 to 4 pages in length (approx. 2000 words).
Proposal Guidelines
1. Information about the host group
a. List applicant’s credentials
b. List applicant’s history in event planning
c. List key host committee member names and affiliations
2. Resources of the host group
a. List sponsoring organisation(s) and brief history
b. List allied and supporting organisations
c. List financial resources secured or proposed
3. The proposed location
a. Identify specific town and region
b. Describe benefits of, and access details for this location
4. The proposed venue
a. Identify specific venue
b. Describe rationale for venue
5. Community resources to support the conference
a. Describe community amenities relevant to hosting
6. Possible theme(s) for the conference
a. Describe how these theme(s) address current AT needs
7. An outline of processes for “call for papers” and IATC promotion
8. Proposed budget
a. Outline of projected expenditures and income
b. Estimate delegate registration cost(s)
9. Name and contact details of convener, including postal and email address
