Assessing your application
When we receive your application, we will acknowledge this in writing - generally by e-mail if you have provided a valid e-mail address.
The next step is to check that your application is complete and that you can meet the eligibility criteria. Remember to check your application before you send it to us. We have to write to more than half of all applicants with queries and this means it takes longer for us to get a decision to you. If you have any queries about putting your application together, please contact the office team who can guide you through this. Please note, the office team are not assessors and are not able to assist you with questions about content.
Common queries we have to write about are;
- copies of certificates not being correctly signed,
- supervisor's reports not signed by both you and the supervisor
- dates not matching thoughout an application
- dates of CPD activities being outside the 12 month period
- word-counts not being adhered to.
Once your application passes this stage, we will send it for assessment by our professional assessors.
In total it takes about four months to check and assess an application. Once we have reached a decision, we will send it to you in a letter.
We cannot return any applications after assessment, so please keep a copy for your records.
