Accreditation Workshops
We know that putting together an application for accreditation can be a daunting process, but there really isn't a need to struggle on alone.
We run accreditation workshops all over the country, specifically to help people like you, who are working towards accreditation as a counsellor/psychotherapist.
It doesn't matter whether you are just starting to think about accreditation or are nearly ready to make an application - what we do know from feedback, is that these workshops really help to
- Understand the application process from start to finish
- Understand the paperwork
- Know which route to apply under
- Get ideas about how to address the reflective practice criteria
Our workshops are run by our own assessors which means you really are getting it from the 'horse's mouth'! We will provide you with the latest information and documentation about the accreditation process.
Workshops are a great opportunity to reflect on your own application and this is your opportunity to ask lots of questions. We also set up a 'buddy list' after each workshop - leave your e-mail address and we will send this round to all participants so you can keep in touch - ideal to stop you feeling quite so alone in the process.
Our workshops cost £60 for members or £45 for student members or those on a reduced membership fee.
If you aren't a BACP member, you can still come along but you will have to pay £65.
We are aware that some individuals and other organisations offer accreditation workshops. If you are thinking about attending one of these, you need to ask yourself the following questions;
- Can I be sure that the workshop tutor has direct experience of the accreditation process?
- Can I be sure that the workshop tutor is fully trained by BACP in the accreditation assessment process?
- Can I be sure that the workshop tutor has the most up to date paperwork and information?
- Can I be sure that the workshop tutor has the back-up of BACP and in particular the Professional Standards Department?
