Accredited Service Directory

BACP Accredited Services are high quality, professionally managed therapeutic counselling/psychotherapy services that have been independently assessed as meeting our defined standards across a wide range of criteria.

Our Accredited Service Directory lists all the organisations providing services accredited by us. If an organisation is not listed here, its counselling/psychotherapy service is not BACP accredited. 

You may also recognise accredited services from our Accredited Service logo on their publicity and information material.

Using the Directory

Accredited services are listed alphabetically by their organisational name. Accreditation is granted to specific services, not to organisations, so the organisational name may be different to that of the actual accredited counselling/psychotherapy service.

We have accredited services across all four UK nations. They are listed according to the area they serve, so some services may be listed in more than one category. You can filter the online directory by area using the listing on the left of the page.

The list below shows organisations whose services have previously been BACP accredited, but whose accredited status has lapsed for some reason, such as closure or merger, inability to maintain the criteria standards or failure to renew.

  'Relate Lancashire offers over 8,000 hours of counselling per year to individuals. couples and families from across Lancashire.   'Springhill Hospice Counselling Service is an adult only service, providing counselling for people who are, or have been, affected by a life limiting illness. Bereavement counselling is also available to people living within Rochdale, Heywood & Middleton who have suffered bereavement, regardless of diagnosis or cause.  The service is delivered by experienced, accredited counsellors. All counsellors are trained in the Person-Centred approach and their skill mix includes specialist training in Bereavement, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Short Solution Focused Therapy.'

  'Wigan Family Welfare est.1958 offers a range of counselling services for both adults and children. All counsellors are expereinced & qualified. Although we do not charge for our counselling, you must fit our remit to gain access. Even though we are an association of churches, our counselling services do not promote a religious stance to therapy.
