Accredited Service Directory

BACP Accredited Services are high quality, professionally managed therapeutic counselling/psychotherapy services that have been independently assessed as meeting our defined standards across a wide range of criteria.

Our Accredited Service Directory lists all the organisations providing services accredited by us. If an organisation is not listed here, its counselling/psychotherapy service is not BACP accredited. 

You may also recognise accredited services from our Accredited Service logo on their publicity and information material.

Using the Directory

Accredited services are listed alphabetically by their organisational name. Accreditation is granted to specific services, not to organisations, so the organisational name may be different to that of the actual accredited counselling/psychotherapy service.

We have accredited services across all four UK nations. They are listed according to the area they serve, so some services may be listed in more than one category. You can filter the online directory by area using the listing on the left of the page.

The list below shows organisations whose services have previously been BACP accredited, but whose accredited status has lapsed for some reason, such as closure or merger, inability to maintain the criteria standards or failure to renew.

  'Insight (formerly Oakdale / MHCO) provides professional, multi-disciplinary, counselling and psychotherapy services for adults. We offer a range of counselling & psychotherapy in Darlington and Peterborough commissioned by the NHS, and nationwide EAP services commissioned by employers. In addition, Insight is at the forefront of developing PCT services, providing IAPT and other primary care psychological therapies.   'The Student Counselling Centre (SCC) offers free, confidential, individual counselling, groups and workshops to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of the University of Leeds. An initial consultation supports students to articulate the current area of difficulty, identify helpful strategies and agree next steps. Counselling is usually short-term and supplemented by web-based self-help information including MP3 downloads. The Student Counselling Centre is part of the Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Service and works alongside the University Mental Health Team and Leeds Student Medical Practice.'
