Reinstating your accreditation

If you've allowed your membership to lapse for any reason, we're always pleased to welcome you back.

You can reinstate your accreditation(s) without having to make a completely new application. The process will depend upon how long your accreditation has been lapsed. 

Please email accreditation@bacp.co.uk and let us know that you want to reinstate so that we can send you the appropriate forms.  

 

If you've lapsed for less than three months

You need to complete:

  • An accreditation declaration
  • BACP Register Terms and Conditions

You need to pay:

  • Your membership fee, backdated to your renewal date 

If you've lapsed for more than three months but less than three years 

You need to complete:

  • Your membership fee

If you've lapsed for more than three years

You need to complete:

You need to pay:

  • Your membership fee
  • An accreditation reinstatement fee of £230 for each accreditation you wish to reinstate

If you held Senior Accredited status under the previous ‘time served’ process, you'll only be able to reinstate as a Registered Member (Accred). You need to apply under the new Senior Accreditation scheme  to regain your Senior status.
