Making a resubmission
If your application for accreditation/senior accreditation has been ‘deferred’, you have six months from the date of our decision letter to re-submit additional information.
The assessment report on your original application will detail the criteria which haven’t been met, explain the reasons for the assessor’s decision and provide direction to help you meet the standard required. Your resubmission should only address the deferred criteria identified in the assessment report.
Your resubmission cannot currently be made online or by email. You should send us two copies of your additional information by post, together with the completed resubmission cover sheet sent with your deferral letter or available below.

If you do not make a resubmission within six months of your deferral letter, your application will be deemed out of date and will be destroyed. You can reapply for accreditation at any time but you will have to submit a new application in full.
Help with your resubmission
Your assessment report will provide all the information you need to make a successful resubmission. You will also be sent a detailed guide to making a resubmission with your deferral letter, which you can download below.

A tele-surgery is a pre-booked, 30 minute one-to-one session with an assessor where you can ask specific questions about the feedback on your application or your understanding of the assessment report. Our assessors are not office-based so this is the only way you can speak to them directly.
We usually have 16 individual tele-surgery slots available each month which can fill up very fast. Each session costs £30, payable when you book. Full details are available in the guide below. To book, please call the accreditation office team on 01455 883304.
