'Fit for Business?'

Friday 19 March 2010,

London

A chair's welcome

The workplace is being revolutionised; at last, we have woken up to the fact that work is good for your psychological health. As a result, greater efforts are being made to help people get into, and remain at, work. This change comes at a cost, however. In order to sustain a workforce who can not only cope with but also thrive in the pressures of modern employment we need systems in place to provide support for individuals and organisations. The 'Sick Note' will become the 'Fit Note', so that we will find more people at work who might otherwise have been absent. What does this mean for the workplace? Who are the new stakeholders in Workplace Wellbeing? This year's conference brings together Counsellors, the HR community and the Health profession in addressing the question - what do we mean by "Fit for Business?" It presents three Keynote speakers from different professions, and offers an opportunity to start thinking differently about our work. I look forward to your participation.
