Private Practice

Private Practice (formerly The Independent Practitioner) is the quarterly journal of BACP Private Practice. The journal reaches counsellors and psychotherapists working independently, either in private practice or for employee assistance programmes (EAPs) or agencies, in paid and voluntary positions.

The journal aims to speak personally to readers, and alongside articles which highlight best practice and share cutting-edge thinking, offers relevant and practical 'on the ground' information, and practitioners' personal perspectives and experiences, so providing a space for personal and professional reflection, a forum for conversation and debate, and an opportunity to network with other practitioners and thus help reduce the isolation which can be felt by those in private practice.

Private Practice is an ideally targeted advertising platform for counselling and psychotherapy training and professional development, events, conferences and publications.
