Private Practice (formerly The Independent Practitioner) is the journal of the Association for Independent Practitioners, a division of BACP.

Recently redesigned and relaunched, the journal reaches counsellors & psychotherapists working independently, either in private practice or for Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) or agencies, in paid and voluntary positions.

Offering a range of informative, relevant and thought-provoking articles, the journal aims to represent the diverse voices of its readers, providing a space for personal and professional reflection and a forum for conversation and debate, whilst also highlighting examples of good practice and supporting the networking of independent practitioners.
