Annual General Meeting

This year's Annual General Meeting will take place on Friday 6 October following day 1 of conference between 5.30pm–6.45pm.

This meeting is open to all BACP members and is completely free of charge.

The AGM is the place for members to hear about the Association's activity and achievements over the past year and to play an active part by voting on statutory issues as well as any resolutions that may be presented, having first had the chance to join in the debate or simply listen to others' views. Again on the agenda this year, members will be offered the opportunity, during the open forum, to bring any enquiries or issues of concern about the Association and its work or indeed about the profession generally. The AGM is where the results of elections to the Board of Governors are announced. And this year will see the announcement of a new President for BACP, as Dame Fiona Caldicott's second and final term of office expires in October, and possibly some new vice presidents. Another item on the AGM agenda is the election of the AGM Business Subcommittee; three members who will advise on the conduct of the business of the following year's AGM. Clearly an important part of this busy conference and hopefully one that will see many members taking the chance, and exercising their democratic right, to be involved in their professional association.
