Clients' hopes and fears of therapyIn the conference foyer, near the registration desk, will be a display of hand-drawn artwork titled 'Clients' hopes and fears of therapy'.This artwork was commissioned as part of the report 'Counsellors, psychotherapists & users: how to become more customer-centric', which was written in conjunction with Brainchild UK. The artwork provides a thought-provoking insight into the perceptions of clients. Participants were asked to illustrate their hopes for therapy, and also what therapy felt like when it didn't go right. Participants in the research were a mix of prospective, short-term and long-term therapy users, spanning a variety of ages from 16 to 60+. Users were also a mix of gender, and from three different locations in the UK.
The display can be viewed throughout the conference, so please feel free to browse the artwork when you have a free moment. |
