Families and Beyond: An Introduction to Systemic Thinking
Fridays – 21 April, 5 May, 19 May and 1 June 2017
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm
In collaboration with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, GCS is delighted to offer this four-day short course on systemic thinking and its application within therapeutic work. The course is presented by Gwyn Daniel, family (systemic) psychotherapist and other staff from T&P.
Through a combination of seminars and work discussion groups, you will learn new ways of thinking about and negotiating personal and work relationships as well as many other applications of systemic ideas.
We all live our lives in and through our relationships, both past and present, and we are all shaped by the social and cultural contexts in which we are embedded. Systemic ideas, which form the basis for family therapy, have become hugely influential in recent decades and their application has developed beyond the family and beyond therapy to provide invaluable ways of exploring the contexts in which we all live and work.
The course is open to all those who work with people whether in a counselling/therapeutic capacity or other contexts.
Fees: Counsellors and therapists in training: £370 (Confirmation of trainee status is required upon booking)
Groups of three or more: £380 per delegate
