About BACP
The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) is a registered charity working towards the promotion and regulation of counselling and psychotherapy both for the profession and the public benefit.

BACP is also Europe’s largest counselling and psychotherapy organisation with over 37,000 individual and organisational members.

BACP has a strong public commitment to high practice standards and public protection with all members undergoing a vetting procedure to ensure they hold appropriate qualifications and training.

BACP’s Ethical Framework, its Professional Code of Conduct and its accreditation standards are widely accepted as models of best practice.

It is BACP’s aim to supply people with a depth and breadth of information and knowledge about counselling and psychotherapy to enable a move towards an emotionally healthy society.

Information
BACP continually reviews the development of counselling and psychotherapy in an ever-changing climate, ensuring that the information it provides is accurate and up to date.

BACP provides a wide range of information, as well as useful links to other associations and societies including our own BACP Divisions.  This can be found on BACP’s website www.bacp.co.uk

Complaints
If you feel the need to raise a concern, air your dissatisfaction or make a complaint, please direct this to BACP’s Customer Services Department on 01455 883300; they will ensure this is investigated thoroughly according to the department’s service level agreement (SLA).
