How do counsellors/psychotherapists learn about queerness, and how do they make sense of it within a predominantly cis-heteronormative society?

Hello, my name is Travis, I am a postgraduate student at the University of Lincoln who is currently training to be a counsellor.

I am writing to you as I would like to invite you to participate in a study, exploring how counsellors/psychotherapists learn about queerness, in addition to how they make sense of queerness within a predominantly cis-heteronormative society.

To do this, I am interested in interviewing qualified therapists who are aged 18 and above, are fluent in English and have access to the internet.

Please note that taking part in this research may cause some discomfort or distress due to the nature of the subject discussed, and as a measure to avoid response biases, it is requested that those that identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community do not sign up to participate.

Please let me know if you would like to take part, using my contact details below.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,
Travis
