An exploration of Female therapists with ADHD and the implications (if any) on their clinical practice

Dear Participant,

My name is Tristann and I am a qualified integrative psychotherapeutic therapist. I am currently studying a BSc in Counselling with Middlesex University.

As part of my degree I am conducting a research study looking at an ‘Exploration of Female Therapists with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the implications (if any) on their Clinical Practice’.

I am looking to recruit qualified female counsellors who meet the following conditions:

  • Qualified counsellor
  • Registered with professional counselling/psychotherapy body such as BACP/UKCP
  • Actively working in either private practice or agency setting (at least one live client per week since qualification)
  • Formal diagnosis of ADHD
  • Available to participate in an online video interview (at a mutually agreed time) lasting no longer than 60 minutes
  • Happy to consent to interview session being audio recorded for transcription purposes.

Participation in this study is voluntary. Your identity as a participant will remain confidential during and after the study.

You will have the right to withdraw your consent at any time either during or after the process up until the point of publication.

A copy of the published research will be available upon request. Please email me by 10th June 2023 and I will arrange this once the research has been concluded and published.
