Every year more and more students become members of BACP. It is the ambition of the BACP Information Services department to give every counselling organisation the opportunity of offering a placement to BACP student members. We also hope to encourage organisational members to utilise the BACP Guidelines for trainee placements / FHCP Guidance on good practice for management of counselling placements in healthcare settings.

The demand for placements appears to greatly exceed the availability. The Information Services department is collating a database of training placements specifically to help BACP student members find a placement. We are hoping that you will be able to help, if you offer training placements, by allowing us to add your organisation’s details to the database. • Setting/theoretical approach
• Is supervision provided?

Kathleen Daymond will acknowledge your submission with an acceptance letter, a copy of the Guidelines for Trainee Placements (appropriate to your setting) and a copy of the database.
