Making Connections - Introduction

Are you keen to meet other BACP members, get involved in your local area, or to have your say about issues affecting the profession? If so, then these events are for you. Free to BACP members and held across the UK, these events will provide a unique opportunity to connect with other members, to air any concerns you may have and to discuss local issues.

Developed following a review of the Association's existing conferences and now in their second pilot year, these events aim to give members the opportunity to attend an event in their area that examines local issues whilst also taking into account national developments affecting the profession.  Although there will be an outline programme for each event a large part of the content will be decided by you, whether that is a local issue that you would like assistance with or a national concern on which you would appreciate an update.  In addition, each event will provide opportunities to gain valuable CPD and to engage with key BACP staff who will be able to answer your questions on a range of topics.

Each event will feature a marketplace and a short presentation section giving you the chance to engage directly with other members on a range of subjects, including projects or current research you are involved with; difficulties you may be facing or success stories you wish to share.  If you are interested in either of these options please visit the feedback page for further information and to submit your ideas.

These events are constantly under review and we would love to hear your thoughts on them. Also, to allow us to start planning content for each location it would be helpful to know of any particular issues that you would like to see addressed. Please visit the feedback page for further information and to leave your comments. Alternatively, if you would prefer to contact us directly, please email jessica.baxter@bacp.co.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming you to an event near you over the coming months.
