The Government today published its Mental Health Implementation Framework, which sets out what organisations can do to achieve the objectives laid out in its mental health strategy; No Health without Mental Health. In response to the publication, Laurie Clarke, BACP Chief Executive, said: "We welcome the Government's initiative to provide access to a range of NICE approved talking therapies and we will continue to support both commissioners and service providers to deliver a wider patient choice to those in need of counselling and psychotherapy. We are also encouraged that the report details the crucial role that employers, educators, health services and local authorities all play in the implementation process, and look forward to working with these organisations to deliver effective mental health outcomes for all."
