About BACP

The British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) is a registered charity charged with the promotion and regulation of counselling and psychotherapy for public benefit in the four Home Countries of the United Kingdom. 

BACP is a European brand leader in the field of psychotherapy/counselling as well as Europe's largest psychotherapy/counselling organisation with nearly 30,000 individual and organisational members.

BACP's Ethical Framework, its Professional Code of Conduct and its accreditation standards are accepted internationally as models of best practice in therapeutic regulation.
