Trustee Alwyn Li has thanked our members, staff and his fellow Board and committee members, as he announced he’s to step down from his BACP roles.

Alwyn joined our Finance, Risk, Audit, Policy and Performance (FRAPP) Committee in 2019. He became Chair of the committee and was appointed to the role of Trustee in 2022.

He’ll leave BACP at the end of March.

Alwyn said he made the decision following the AGM in November, knowing the Board had gained five new Trustees.

Alwyn said: “When they were elected at the AGM I was both proud and more excited than ever about the future of BACP. Knowing the immense experience, knowledge and dedication brought by the new Trustees, elected or appointed, I was finally ready to make the call to say goodbye to BACP.”

He added: “My heartfelt thanks go to the BACP management and staff who work so tirelessly day in and day out to deliver the best possible service to members. I would also like to thank the many members who have played a role in supporting the work of their membership body in advancing the profession. Lastly, I would like to pay tribute to my fellow FRAPP committee members, and all the Trustees, past and present, who have volunteered their time and energy to serve the profession and help make BACP even better. Thank you all for an incredible five years!”

Our Chair Natalie Bailey said: “I want to thank Alwyn for his hard work, commitment and contribution over the past five years. He’s brought an important skillset to the Board and has played a crucial role in overseeing the financial sustainability of BACP.

“Please join me in wishing Alwyn all the best for the future.”

We’ll be recruiting for a new Chair of FRAPP and Trustee in the coming months and will keep members updated.
