Procedure Notices Introduction

The Association reserves the right to publish such details of complaints as it considers appropriate, in line with the Professional Conduct Procedure. The Association is entitled to publish notices in its journal and these notices may be published elsewhere, at its discretion. In publishing these notices on this website, this discretion is currently being exercised. Termination of Membership notices published in the Association's journal are also published on this website.

These findings are published for the purposes of public information in the interests of protecting the public. It is recognised that there can be learning opportunities for other practitioners and, as such, should any reader wish to use the information for educational, or other associated, purposes, please ensure that you remove the name, together with any other identifying features of the practitioner concerned, as this information is not deemed to be relevant in these circumstances.

There are three types of notices that will regularly require publication on the website and are as follows:

  1. Hearing findings, Decision & Sanction
  2. Re-Admission to Membership
  3. Sanction Compliance

There is also a fourth notice that occasionally needs to be published as follows:

  1. Termination of Membership

Notices under the first type will need to stay on the website until a sanction compliance notice or termination notice replaces it. Where a notice under category 1 is published simultaneously with a sanction compliance notice, both will remain on the website for a minimum of two months. The notices under the second type will need to stay on indefinitely or until there is a readmission of membership notice or other circumstances requiring removal. Notices under the third and fourth types will need to remain on the website for a minimum of two months.
