HPC Documentation

Introduction

There are two HPC documents currently open for consultation and feedback that are of interest to us all.

Why?

Part of the process of regulation in the HPC is the drawing up of Standards of Proficiency for the profession to be regulated and the decision on the level of qualification that will lead to registration. Counselling and psychotherapy will have to follow the process. It is therefore very illuminating to read the consultation documents for psychologists on these two matters. These two consultations can be found at http://www.hpc-uk.org/aboutus/consultations .

You may wish to send in an individual response to the HPC. If you do, I would be grateful if you could copy it to me at sally.aldridge@bacp.co.uk . BACP will be sending a response which will be posted on the website under the regulation section.
