How to do a literature search

This information sheet aims to help therapists carry out literature searches for research or evidence based practice (Goss and Rose, 2002)1 by identifying sources of and techniques for assessing information.

This sheet helps readers:

  • Be aware of some relevant sources of information
  • Be able to plan a literature search to find relevant information
  • Understand some basic techniques of doing a literature search
