Call for participants - An Exploration of how Psychosynthesis Practitioners Understand and Work with ‘Resistance’ in the Therapy Room

Greg Donaldson

• Are you a qualified psychosynthesis therapist?
• Have you experienced ‘resistance’ (whatever that means to you) when working with your clients?
• Would you be willing to share your experiences of working with ‘resistance’ in the therapy room?

By investigating how psychosynthesis practitioners recognise the emergence of ‘resistance’, and in what way they work with it, I hope to further an understanding of the relationship between therapist and client. I would especially like to hear about your concept of resistance and how that has formed. How, as a therapist, you make the initial approach towards working with resistance and any breakdowns in the relationship with your clients including clients ending therapy abruptly or any contractual issues. I would also like to hear about the type of language you use, and your overall experience when working with resistance.

*Involvement is a 90-minute recorded conversation (maximum), at a mutually convenient location *

If you are interested in taking part, or would like to know more about the study, then please contact me at greg@emergingpurpose.net
