Introduction

Seminar Series

The aim of the seminar series is to bring together national and international supervision researchers to think about and discuss the future of supervision research, to work on methodological innovations and to create collaborative partnerships. Established or aspiring researchers in the field of clinical supervision are invited to attend as well as research students with current or future projects related to supervision.

The Fee for each 2 day seminar is £75 and includes refreshments. The fee for all three seminars is £190 if all are booked together. There are two student bursaries for each seminar. Details can be supplied on application.

There is an upper limit of 60 places for each seminar. We anticipate a significant demand for places and early booking is advised. Evidence must be provided of involvement or significant interest in supervision research. It may not be possible to accommodate all applicants and priority will be given to active researchers.

One day international conference

The aim of this conference is to bring together  counselling and psychotherapy supervisors, supervision trainers and researchers to discuss research findings related to supervision that may inform future practice.  Evidence for the effectiveness of supervision is scant, even though it is widely practiced and appreciated in many countries.  This conference is the final event of an ESRC Seminar Series on the topic of supervision research that has invited speakers, who are internationally renowned experts in the field of supervision research to present their work to specialist audiences.  The aim has been to encourage supervision research in the UK and worldwide and to establish collaborative research networks.  This conference is inviting a wider audience who may be consumers of research as well as researchers themselves.  Research informed teaching and learning about supervision is to be encouraged and supported and this conference will offer a window on the most recent supervision studies from around the world.
