PhD Membership fee waiver scheme  

PhD/doctoral BACP membership fee waiver scheme (open to BACP members only)

BACP make funds available for members who are studying for a doctorate in counselling and psychotherapy. There are 12 bursaries which cover the full cost of a whole year's BACP subscription (excluding accreditation fees) and applicants who qualify may apply for up to three years. Applicants must be current members of BACP and must be on their PhD course.

The membership bursary awards will take effect from the date of successful applicant's next membership renewal.

The BACP member applying for the bursary MUST be registered on their PhD/Doctoral course (they are not eligible to apply a year ahead).

Applications must include members' full name, address and their BACP membership number and must include an original letter of verification on University letter headed paper from the applicant's place of study.

Applications may be sent via post or email to stella.nichols@bacp.co.uk, and must include all necessary attachments. 

This bursary is for one year's membership only, but members are eligible to receive the bursary up to 3 times if they wish to apply each year.

Please note if we receive more than 12 applications for the bursaries, recipients of the bursaries will be selected at random; each application will have an equal chance of selection.
