BACP members – Are you seeking funding for research? Apply for a BACP research grant BACP's research strategy aims to help build research capacity in counselling and psychotherapy. This directly links to providing seed-corn funding to BACP members to support them in undertaking a small research project. In 2009 we have seed-corn funding of up to £5,000 for a research project. We hope that this research funding will encourage a new piece of counselling and psychotherapy research. The research could be a pilot project that may lead to a larger study in the future, or it could be a small study that can be undertaken within a budget of £5,000. Any BACP member is eligible to apply for this research funding and BACP is especially keen to encourage research proposals from practitioners. Applicants will need to complete the attached application form providing a detailed plan of their proposed research, explaining what the research question is, why it is important, and the methods they will use to address the question. Entries will be peer reviewed by Research Committee members and their decision will be final. The deadline for applying is 4pm Friday 7 November 2008. If you would like more information about applying for this award please contact Kaye Richards on 01455 883332 or email research@bacp.co.uk. Please click here to download an application form.
