Hope, Humility & Humour

Being a counsellor and a media spokesperson are not always easy bedfellows and both can fall short of giving the easy answers that so many people seem to seek today.  This keynote will explore the highs and the lows of a career that attempts to blend sensitivity and wisdom with media friendly sound bites and share the essential qualities required of hope, humility and humour   

Biography 

Paula has been a counsellor for 20 years, starting as a telephone counsellor for a drugs charity, working through Relate and now a psychotherapist in private practise specialising in sex addiction.  As well as being a therapist, she has written books on relationships and divorce and regularly writes for a number of newspapers and websites.  She also works in the media providing professional comment for television, radio and the press.
