BACP Supervision Forum – Terms of reference - Support the development and implementation of BACP’s Supervision Strategy
1.1 Support strategy planning; through face-to-face meetings and/or via web based, e-mail/mail and telephone correspondence 1.2 Review progress made and provide suggestions for moving forward 1.3 Consult with BACP staff, volunteers and trustees with endorsement from the senior management team - Work with wider supervision stakeholders and BACP staff resource in development of the strategy and subsequent work programme
2.1 Provide / obtain expert advice and work with supervision stakeholders and BACP staff resource to develop the programme 2.2 Contribute ideas for potential work programme - Comment on the work programme for the project
3.1 Receive and comment on reports on supervision 3.2 Act as an impartial reference and advisory point for supervision policies, documents and materials produced by BACP - Provide an overview of activity and views within each member’s area of expertise
4.1 Contribute knowledge and understanding of new developments directly or indirectly associated with supervision 4.2 Comment on viability and relevance of these 4.3 Receive reports and presentations from individuals / organisations on new initiatives in the sector - Act as champions for the supervision sector
5.1 Promote the forum to others within BACP and externally in the wider helping profession - In liaison with BACP’s Head of Research, Research Team and Research Committee, propose, plan, propose and support the development of appropriate research projects
6.1 Optimise resourcing from all sources to develop supervision research
