BACP Shop Standard Terms and Conditions
When you place an order with the BACP Shop you agree to accept the following terms and conditions.
Making a purchase
The BACP Shop aims to deliver goods of the highest quality. Every effort is made to display only items that are in stock or that can be sent to you quickly. If we cannot meet our usual delivery times we will tell you immediately. If this happens you can:
- order an alternative,
- have the products sent as soon as they are available, or
- cancel the order.
All prices are in British pounds sterling (£) and include VAT at 15 per cent where goods are vatable supply. Charges for destinations other than mainland UK depend on product weight and destination. The postage rates, where chargeable, will be calculated and shown to you before you enter your payment details. We make every effort to ensure prices are accurate. If prices change we will contact you before sending your order to gain your agreement to the revised price or to amend or cancel the order.
All transactions are conducted through a secure web server. We accept all major credit and debit cards except American Express. Your credit/debit card statement will show 'BACP'.
Every effort is taken to ensure that the information on this website is correct and up to date. However, BACP disclaims all warranties and representations as to the accuracy of any information contained if at any time it becomes inadvertently out of date or incomplete. BACP cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from the use of this information.
Minimum order
Please note the minimum payment acceptable via credit or debit card is £5. For orders under this amount please post a cheque payable to 'British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy' with your order details to: BACP, BACP House, 35-37 Albert Street, Rugby CV21 2SG.
If we have problems fulfilling your order
If we cannot fulfil your order we will contact you to give you the choice of cancelling your order, amending it, or waiting for the items you ordered to come into stock.
Shipping and handling
Unless otherwise stated delivery times should be within 10 days for the UK and Republic of Ireland, within 16 days for other European Union countries, and within 20 days for the rest of the world. However, normally all orders are processed within two working days.
We use first and second-class post or courier services as selected by the class of service option during checkout.
Your right to cancel and claim a refund
You may cancel your order and claim a full refund at any time up to seven working days after you receive the goods. If you wish to do this please contact us in writing. You may use fax or email. We will make the refund as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days.
You must return the goods to us in their original condition.
If you cancel your order after we have sent the goods, and they are not defective, of poor quality, misdescribed or not fit for their purpose, then you must send them back to us at your own expense.
Returns and sending replacements
If your goods are defective, you can return the item(s) to us within 30 days of receipt for exchange. Replacement goods should be with you within the standard ten days for the UK and republic of Ireland, within 16 days for other European Union countries, and within 20 days for the rest of the world. However, normally goods are dispatched within two working days.
Complaints procedure
We aim to respond to complaints within five working days. Please email us at complaints@bacp.co.uk or call us on 0870 443 5182. If we cannot resolve your complaint immediately we will tell you how long we expect it will take and keep you fully informed throughout the process.

Legislation governing this contract includes the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.

Booking information
Bookings can be made by telephone, fax, online, email or post. Booking by any of the above methods does not automatically constitute confirmation of a place. BACP will confirm all bookings by either email, fax or in writing on receipt of a completed booking form and payment in full.
Booking reservations without payment in full will be held on a provisional basis and places cannot be guaranteed. All bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
Late bookings
BACP will accept late delegate bookings subject to availability and immediate payment in full. BACP will try to ensure that late booking information is incorporated into the event administrative process, however this cannot be guaranteed if the booking is made within 2 weeks of the event. All late bookings within 4 weeks of the event will be subject to normal cancellation charges.
Payment
All fees must be paid in full no later than 2 weeks prior to the event or immediately for late bookings. Payment by cheque should be made to 'BACP'.
BACP is also happy to accept payment by the following credit/debit cards:

Cancellations
Written notification of cancellation within 4 weeks of an event, or failure to attend the event without prior written notification will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge.
Substitute delegates
BACP will accept substitute delegates without charge where notification is received within 2 weeks of the event. After this time an administration charge of £25 will be required.
Special requirements and dietary needs
BACP is committed to meeting the needs of all delegates and will try to ensure any special requirements are fully met subject to reasonable prior notice. Please state your request at the time of booking and we will confirm by phone or letter prior to your arrival.
Limitation of liability
1. BACP does not accept responsibility for accident, injury or loss suffered while attending events unless it is directly due to negligence on its part.
2. BACP accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred while using material or information gained at BACP events.
3. The copyright of all training material rests with the trainer or speaker, and BACP may not be held responsible for any infringements as a result of plagiarism, libel, slander or any other misuse of any material.

Change of event details
BACP reserves the right to amend or cancel any event or event times and dates. This includes changes to speakers, content and programme.
In the unlikely occurrence of an event cancellation, BACP will return any payments received in advance. BACP will not however refund any costs incurred as a result of this cancellation.
