BACP divisions

This month our Workforce Lead, Kris Ambler, interviewed several chairs of our BACP divisions, seeking the benefit of their insight and their support in the development of a new suite of marketing collateral aimed at engaging employers and the public.

Further external relationship building included site visits to third sector organisations that use paid counsellors within the context of their wider service provision. This forms part of a wider project that seeks to address the issue of qualified members working in third sector organisations without pay and will include case studies, guidance and relationship building with funders.

Building links across sectors

Having finalised the workforce employment strategy, our Workforce Lead Kris Ambler began to undertake a stakeholder mapping exercise, identifying the key organisations and individuals with whom to engage. This forms part of a broader programme of work that includes job market scoping and awareness raising activities.

During this month we engaged with local authorities, health commissioners, employer representative bodies, trade unions, employees assistance programmes (EAPs) and organisations engaged in the wellbeing at work agenda.

At the end of the month Kris attended the BACP Workplace division meeting, where he presented the workforce employment strategy and provided members with an overview of current activity.
