We’re delighted to be collaborating with Worth Publishing on this event which focuses on the ripple effect of trauma on children and young people.

This event will focus on the ‘ripple effect’ of the wide variety of trauma experienced by far too many children and adolescents today. Whether the trauma has been experienced personally or indirectly, individually or within a group, the young people will continue to carry the effects unless mature, attuned, empathic adults can come alongside them and help them to work through the impact.

Within the school context, in both primary and secondary, busy educators are often themselves caught in stressful cycles and pressures, and may even be dealing with their own challenges, from traumatic events and experiences inside or outside school, or, unconsciously, from their own past.

Having a deep and rounded understanding of the impact of trauma on children and adolescents, as well as strategies that can really make a difference, enables counsellors to work not only with individual young people, but also with their families, their teachers, and whole school communities.

We are excited to welcome five passionate speakers who all have experience of working with children and adolescents who carry trauma, all of which have also written on their chosen areas.
