Participants needed for research in counsellors’ experiences of providing counselling support to prison staff as part of their Employee Assistance Programme

I am seeking research participants for a study into counsellors’ experiences of providing therapy to prison staff as part of their Employee Assistance Programme.  The purpose of this research study is to explore and describe the experiences of counsellors and the meaning attached to this aspect of their work.

This research is for a dissertation, part of my MSc Counselling studies with the University of Northampton. This research is being supervised by a qualified and experienced supervisor and has received approval from the Psychology Ethics Committee at the University of Northampton.

Who is eligible?

Qualified counsellors who have provided counselling therapy to prison staff via their employee assistance programme.

What will I be asked to do?

Participants will be asked to take part in an online interview lasting approximately 60 minutes during which they will be encouraged to discuss their experiences of providing counselling therapy to prison staff.

How do I volunteer?

If you would like to take part in this study or if you would like some more information, please contact me on adam.keightley20@my.northampton.ac.uk

Thank you

Adam
