My interest in this topic and chosen criteria is as a result of my own experience within training workshops, having been the only minority within my group. I am also curious and intrigued to learn about the experiences of others especially as we live in a multi-cultural society and training is the foundation to clinical work.

I am currently in my 4th year of an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham.
I am looking for Integrative Psychotherapist trainees: Black ethnic minority/White British, male and females, participants who do or don’t identify with race but consider that race may enter their clinical practice/employment considering the social/society/environment we live within.

Ideally I would like to hold recorded interviews for my research in Nottingham however I am willing to travel if necessary.
If you are interested in taking part or would like to know more information, please email me, Anne – Marie Gardiner  at I will be adhering to the SPTI code of ethics, UKCP code of ethics & BACP Ethical Framework throughout my research.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm regards
