I am seeking BACP accredited counsellors, working in London or North Surrey, who can speak about attachment style, to participate in a study.

My research aims to explore the experience of relating with clients whose attachment style is primarily insecure-avoidant. I am seeking qualified counsellors who are prepared to share their experiences, including reflections on their own attachment style, and how this combination of styles feels in the counselling room. I’m particularly interested in how counsellors who have an insecure-avoidant attachment style relate to clients with a similar style; but I want a range of styles in my participants, to explore the contrast.

I will provide sensitive support to participants who are prepared to discuss their experiences, during an hour-long face-to-face recorded interview, to take place at a mutually agreed time and location.

The study is being carried out to fulfil the requirements for a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling at Kingston College and Middlesex University. A process of ethical review has been undertaken for this work and has been approved by Kingston College.

If you would like to find out more, please contact me at 49658@student.stcg.ac.uk. I will respond to your emails within two days of receipt.

Thank you
