Currently, NICE guidelines recommend CBT as the only individual talking therapy for psychosis (NICE, 2014) and in recent years its success in this area has been widely acknowledged. However, there remains discussion around the long term efficacy, advantages and disadvantages of individual versus group therapy, and discussion surrounding the barriers to the application of CBT to this particular client group.

I am looking for participants who:

  • are trained CBT therapists, currently practising and in receipt of supervision
  • have experience of working with clients with schizophrenia and psychosis based illnesses
  • are willing to share their experiences

I am particularly interested in hearing about how you as a therapist approach work with this client group. What are the challenges and what worked well, for clients experiencing both positive and negative symptoms?

Involvement will be an interview (max 60 minutes) which will be confidential and audio recorded for the purpose of transcribing only. This will be held at a location to suit you.
