The purpose of this research is to explore clients and therapists' experiences of compassion focused therapy in fostering Post-Traumatic Growth, this research will have two separate studies, one focusing on the therapist's perspective and one the clients.
I am looking to recruit compassion-focused therapists who work within the private sector utilising the compassion-focused therapeutic approach with clients who have had experience(s) of sexual abuse.
This research has gained ethical approval from the University of Wolverhampton ethical panel.
The process will include a semi-structured interview online which aims to last between 45 to 60 minutes. This opportunity is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.
The inclusion criteria for the therapist study includes:
- To be a qualified therapist or psychologist working within the private sector
- To have utilised the compassion focused therapy approach with clients who have had experiences of sexual abuse
