Are you an integrative trainee counsellor or psychotherapist who has become a mother in the past two years? Were you seeing the same therapist for at least a year before and a year after the birth of your child? If so, would you be willing to share your experiences in a confidential interview which will form part of my research?

I am looking to find out more about the therapeutic experience for trainee new-mothers, and how they make sense of it. By taking part in this study, you would be contributing to a greater understanding of the therapy experience of both trainees and new mothers.

I am undertaking this research for a dissertation in fulfilment of a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy through the Minster Centre / University of Middlesex. The project has been approved by the Minster Centre and will be conducted in accordance with the BACP’s ethical guidelines for research.

Participating in this project would involve taking part in a confidential interview on your experience, either online or in person, at a time and place convenient to you. The interview will take 60-90 minutes and will be audio-recorded. I will ask you to describe your experience in as much detail as you are able and feel comfortable with.

If you are interested in participating or would just like to find out more, please contact me by email: or phone: 07887 538 849.

I look forward to hearing from you.
