The purpose of this study is to understand, through looking at participants perceptions and experience in Integrative practice, of C.G. Jung’s use and therefore relevance in current psychotherapeutic practice.
I am undertaking some research for my MA dissertation and I am looking to recruit counsellors/psychotherapists with at least 6 months post qualification experience who identify as Integrative in their method of working, to help me undertake my research into what I believe will be an exciting subject area.
The research project has received ethical approval in line with the Leeds Beckett University's Ethics Policy.
In order to undertake the research, I would like interview a number of qualified counsellors or psychotherapists, who work integratively i.e. have a working therapeutic rational but also integrate other disciplines in their work with clients.
It is not necessary for participants to be knowledgeable in the theoretical underpinnings of C.G Jung.
Participation is entirely voluntary and confidential. As a participant you will not be identifiable in any way, only to the researcher.
Participation will involve one 60-90-minute audio-recorded, semi structured interview at a safe location of the participants choosing. This recording will be transcribed, then coded and deleted. Participants will be able to stop the interview at any time without penalty or reason. The participant can also request to withdraw their data and themselves from the study at any point up to coding, anonymising and deletion of the audio recording.
I will also ask you to sign a consent form to enable me to interview you and audio-record the interview.
