Participants Wanted for MSc Research Study Research
My name is Katherine Linden-Wyatt and I am an MSc Applied Mental Health Practice student at Leeds Beckett University. I am conducting a research study exploring how adults with ADHD have experienced talking therapy and what they perceive as helpful or unhelpful in supporting therapeutic growth.
I am seeking participants who:
- Are aged 18 or over
- Live in the United Kingdom
- Have a formal diagnosis of ADHD
- Have completed a course of talking therapy (and are no longer actively engaged in therapy)
The study aims to explore participants' lived experiences of therapy and to better understand what adults with ADHD feel contributes to supportive, effective and neuroaffirming therapeutic practice.
What does participation involve?
Participation involves taking part in a one-to-one online interview via Zoom. Interviews are expected to last approximately 60–90 minutes and will focus on your experiences of therapy. You will only be asked to share what you feel comfortable discussing, and you may decline to answer any question. Interviews will be audio-recorded for transcription and analysis. All information will be anonymised and treated confidentially. Participants may withdraw from the study up to two weeks after their interview without providing a reason.
Ethics
This study has received ethical approval from the School of Health Local Research Ethics Committee at Leeds Beckett University.
