Do you bring discussions about your therapeutic relationship with your clients that occur in the here-and-now into your therapy sessions?

This study aims to investigate the experiences and feelings of counsellors using immediacy in their work. I am interested in exploring how immediacy is perceived and used in practice by qualified counsellors.

I am seeking qualified counsellors to take part in this study. All theoretical modalities are welcome.

The research will involve taking part in a face-to-face interview with me. The interview will take approximately one hour. Interviews can be conducted at the University of Greenwich or via Skype at a time that suits you. All transcribed interview data will use pseudonyms with identifying information removed or altered to ensure anonymity for participants.

This is part of a counselling masters dissertation project. This research project has been approved by the University of Greenwich’s Ethics Panel.

Please email if you would like to take part in this research or if you would like more information.

Thank you!
