Is the experience of being a survivor of sexual abuse, working with perpetrators of sexual abuse something that you can relate to? Would you be interested in taking part in a qualitative study?

I am currently in my third year of a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling at Kingston College, accredited by Middlesex University, I am a member of BACP and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework. I also have an Advanced National Diploma in Integrative Counselling.

This study will involve a 1 hour, one-to-one interview, asking carefully chosen questions about your experiences. Counsellors/therapists, male or female, of all modalities are welcome. I am looking for counsellors who have personal experience of being sexually abused and working in a counselling setting with sex abusers. My study gives participants an opportunity to express their views on their personal experiences of working with sexual abusers.

I am aware that this is a very sensitive topic, so the utmost care will be taken to provide a confidential and safe place for you.

If this is something you feel you’d like to take part in, please contact Lorna Francis, for more details.

Thank you
