Are you a psychologist, psychotherapist or counsellor registered with an accrediting body such as the HCPC or the BACP who has experience working with issues relating to gender identity outside of specialist Gender Identity Clinics (e.g., in your private practice, in an IAPT service)?
Would you be willing to share your experiences of client work and your views on the guidelines and training provided by your accrediting body regarding gender identity/working with trans and gender-diverse clients?
I am a Counselling Psychologist in training at the University of West of England. For my doctoral study, I am researching professional therapeutic professionals’ experiences of working with gender identity outside of specialist Gender Identity Clinics. You are invited to complete an online survey in which you will respond to the series of open-ended questions in your own words. You have the option of leaving contact details if you would be willing to participate in a follow-up interview. The survey should take around 30 minutes to complete.
