Qualitative research - What stops us challenging our clients – a therapists’ perspective and the implications for clinical practice.

My name is Rachael Coward I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor studying a BSc top-up in counselling with Activate Learning at Guildford college.

I would like to invite you to take part in my research project “What stops us challenging our clients – a therapists’ experience and the implications for clinical practice.”

To participate you must
• be a qualified counsellor with at least one year post qualifying experience.
• be a member of a professional counselling body e.g. BACP, UKCP, NCPS.
• be currently practicing as a therapist with 3 or more clients.

Your participation is voluntary, and even if you agree to participate now you may withdraw from this study at any time, until analysis is complete in June 2024.

Your participation is strictly confidential and all identifying details will be anonymized.

Participation involves a one-hour interview which is conducted online and audio recorded for transcription at a later date.

If you would like a copy of the results, please contact me by 10/06/23 and I will arrange for this to happen.
