When did you last attend a therapeutic or personal development group? Last week? During your counselling/psychotherapy training? Never? Do you remember what was useful and what was not? Did you find it useful when you truly felt touched and understood by another member of your group? Was it frustrating or even soul destroying when the facilitator maintained silence in spite of direct requests for input?
This workshop aims to broaden your knowledge on the theory and practice of working with groups. The workshop aims to enhance awareness and understanding of the particularities of working with groups, deepen your theoretical knowledge and experiential capacity as facilitators. This workshop focuses on groups that are broadly therapeutic in nature; for example, therapy groups, personal development groups and support groups.
