Topic: When war enters the counselling room.

Though we live in a world that is constantly at war, war might not always enter our counselling room. But when it does, and our clients have been impacted either directly, through family, or the media, how do we react? What do we do when our clients come to us and talk about war and the impact of it on them, their life or their loved ones. How do we respond? How does it feel? Is it easy, uncomfortable? Does it feel different from other topics that are brought into the room? If so, why? Would we want to take a side? How can we explore it safely?

In this workshop we will be exploring how war impacts us and our clients. Our reactions to it and methods and practices that can support us and our clients through a difficult topic.

Location: Weare336, 336 Brixton Road, Brixton, London SW9 7AA.
