We're delighted to announce the 'Working with suicide in universities and colleges conference' taking place in London on Monday 11 June 2018.

Counselling professionals working in education will be all too aware of the number of students presenting with suicidal ideation.

There is an ongoing debate as to whether the increase in student suicide is comparable to the wider population and it's an issue that raises a lot of anxiety for those working with students, as well as the wider community.

Conference Themes

  • current research and guidelines
  • suicide exploration: approaching suicide risk from a dialogic position
  • working with Coroner’s Court
  • working with suicide in multi-disciplinary teams
  • safeguarding issues

We'll be delighted to welcome five speakers each presenting on a different aspect of the conference topic, and a question and answer session to conclude the day.  There'll be an opportunity to meet members of the UC executive committee throughout the day including during registration and refreshment breaks.
