BACP accreditation provides a quality standard which is recognised and valued throughout the counselling and psychotherapy professions.
We have six accreditation schemes, including initial and senior counsellor and psychotherapist accreditation, counselling and psychotherapy courses and counselling and psychotherapy services.

Our accreditation team consists of six assessors, who are all experienced practitioners from a variety of professional backgrounds and modalities, overseen by a senior accreditation moderator. They hold regular standardisation exercises and new members receive training and mentoring from the senior moderator.
We're inviting tenders for an external moderator to support our accreditation assessors in ensuring the standardisation and quality assurance of our accreditation schemes. Fees would be paid on a contract for service basis
The successful candidate will review samples of assessments from across the six schemes to ensure that they meet a consistent standard against all the accreditation criteria. They will also be expected to feedback results, answer questions from the assessment team and attend our annual assessor meeting, either in person or via Skype or teleconference.
Tenders must be submitted by 30 September, with interviews to be held mid to late October.
