Communications on a landmark moment  for the profession, a sold-out event for supervisors to learn and connect, and a magazine read by thousands each month, have all earned award nominations.

We’ve received three nominations for our member communications on SCoPEd and our 2025 Supervisors event and Therapy Today magazine have both been shortlisted once for the 2026 Memcom Excellence Awards.

SCoPEd communications

Our communications on SCoPEd, in partnership with agency DTW, are nominated for: Best Membership Strategy, Best Membership Support and Best Integrated Membership Campaign.

Adam Pollard, Head of Marketing and Engagement, said:

“I’m so proud of the team behind our SCoPEd member communications campaign, which represents many years of collaborative effort, and would like to thank every colleague who has supported this work.

“It’s also really important to recognise the vital contributions of our agency partners DTW, whose expertise, skills and knowledge have helped deliver the best possible experience for our members as they navigated the changes brought about by this landmark initiative.”

Supervisors event

Our September 2025 Supervisors Event has been nominated in the Best Non-Celebratory Event (costing less than £100k) category.

BACP member Satinder Panesar, who was part of the working group that organised the Leeds event, said she was “absolutely delighted” to hear of the nomination.

"It feels like wonderful recognition for everyone who contributed to creating what was, for me, a truly phenomenal event.

“What made the day so special wasn't just how well it was received, but the genuine sense that BACP had created something the profession really needed. There has been a real gap in opportunities dedicated specifically to clinical supervisors, and this event helped to address that by creating a space where supervisors could come together to learn, reflect, connect and feel valued.

“It was also a privilege to be on the working group and work alongside such inspiring speakers, whose passion, depth of knowledge and commitment to clinical supervision made the day both thought-provoking and enriching.”

Therapy Today

Therapy Today is nominated in the Best Magazine (circulation more than 20k and income less than £5m) category.

Head of Member Services Grace Gardiner said she was incredibly proud of the event and magazine nominations.

“This recognition reflects the creativity, expertise and dedication of the team who work so hard to deliver exceptional experiences and resources for our members. These nominations are a testament to what we can achieve when we work to a shared commitment and common purpose.

“My thanks go to everyone involved, including THINK for their support with our Therapy Today submission.”

Experiences that support, engage and empower

Ben Kay, our Chief Experience Officer, said:

“It’s always wonderful to see the work of our teams publicly recognised in this way. These nominations reflect the talent, expertise and commitment that exists across BACP, but they also signal something more important: the impact our work is having for members, the profession and the people who benefit from high-quality counselling and psychotherapy.

“They also recognise our commitment to creating valuable experiences that support, engage and empower our members. The moments we create every day help people grow, develop and feel connected to a profession they are proud to be part of.

“At the same time, it’s important to acknowledge the huge amount of work across BACP that happens quietly and behind the scenes. Much of it will never attract awards, but it is no less important. I’d like to celebrate the contribution of all our staff, whose collective efforts help us become an even stronger membership association for our members, their clients and the wider profession.”

CIPR awards Mark of Excellence

Our No More Stiff Upper Lip campaign, delivered by PR agency Kindred, also recently received three nominations at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Excellence Awards.

The campaign achieved a Mark of Excellence in the Best Healthcare or Wellbeing Campaign category and was also shortlisted in the Best Not-for-profit Campaign and Best Use of Media Relations.
