About me and my therapy practice

I offer face to face and online counselling long term and short term work available, with flexible working hours.

I offer you a safe and confidential space where you can speak freely without being judged. I am an integrative counsellor which means I draw from several different models in which we will look at your past, where you are in the present and where you would like to be in the future.

I will sit with you whilst you talk about what’s worrying you but I will not advise you. Through talking therapy, you will discover so much about yourself which may lead you to make some positive changes in your life.

I offer a free 10minute telephone consultation to see if you feel I am the right therapist for you.

Practice description

Speak in Confidence

Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.

A problem shared

Trouble with a relationship; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression – many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. If you don’t get it off your chest, you won’t be able to breathe.

About me and my therapy practice

I have many years experience working with people from all different walks of life and backgrounds. I have experienced life changing events myself which has led me to develop empathy for the people I have the pleasure of working with.

Perhaps you are reading this because you have you come to a crossroads in your life and not sure in which direction to take. This can sometimes feel quite scary. When life throws us curveballs such as relationship break ups, career changes ,redundancy or life changing events such as bereavement, critical illness or divorce it can be good to have someone impartial to talk to.

I can offer you a safe and confidential space where you can speak freely without being judged. The way in which I work means that we will explore together your past, where you are in the present and where you would like to be in the future.

I will listen to you whilst you talk about what’s concerning you without giving you advice. Through talking therapy, you will discover so much about yourself, which may lead you to make changes in your life.

Counselling helps us gain a better understanding of what's causing some problems -and how we can move towards managing or resolving them. Working together I can help you gain a greater insight into the difficulties you are facing and help you understand why you act or react to certain situations the way you do.

If you would to know more,I offer a free 15 minute telephone conversation to see if you feel I am the right therapist for you.

Practice description

 If you don't get it off your chest, you won't be able to breathe.

I don't believe there is such a thing as a problem that is too small or too big. If something is worrying you, talking to a trusted listener is one of the best ways to minimalise your concerns.

I will listen with sensitivity and empathy – and without judgement.

These are just a few of the areas in can help with:

* Relationships

Relationships can leave us feeling bereft. Perhaps you have found yourself in a toxic relationship or are experiencing abuse, which can leave you questioning your worth. Likewise, the end of a relationship, even when it has finished on good terms, can be hard to manage. Stepping into single life can bring new challenges such as online dating and forming a new identify .Working on these issues in our counselling sessions can help you heal and recognise what a healthy relationship looks like going forward.

* Parenting

Parenting can be joyful, challenging and heartbreaking all in the same week!

Each stage of a child's life can bring new challenges-how you parent a toddler is not the same as parenting a teenager.

 Peri menopause and menopause

Counselling can help  you navigate the emotional changes which can be experienced at this stage in your life. This may include working on the impact this may be having on your relationships with those around you.

Bereavement and significant loss.

Sadly, loss is still not talked about enough, many people around us may struggle to find the "right words", which may mean you have no-one to talk to about your feelings .

Other things I can you with:

Stress and Anxiety; Panic attacks;  Abuse; Depression; Confidence and self-esteem; Anger management; Problems with family . Retirement. Empty nest syndrome, helping you to make sense of the next and new phase in your life.
